The Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition is a remake of the original The Secret of Monkey Island (1990). It is a point-and-click adventure game, and is a comedic game following Guybrush Threepwood who wishes to become a mighty pirate. Guybrush falls in love with Elaine Marley and must rescue her from the ghost pirate LeChuck.
It was released on 15 July 2009 for the PC, Mac OS X, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. The game was later added for the iPhone and was followed by Monkey Island 2 Special Edition: LeChuck's Revenge in 2010.
The game has a total of 12 achievements/trophies overall. They add up to 200
on the Xbox; and 7 bronze trophies, 4 silver trophies and 1 gold trophy for the PlayStation. Despite Steam's support of achievements, the PC version has none.
