Mass Effect 3 is the third and final installment of the Mass Effect trilogy, developed by BioWare and published by EA Games. The player again assumes the fully customisable role of Commander Shepard as the Reapers launch their invasion of the galaxy. As with previous games, the player is able to carry over save files from Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2, where the choices they made in those games will affect their experience in Mass Effect 3.
Due to controversy over the ending, players have the option of downloading the Mass Effect 3 - Extended Cut DLC for free, which expands on the original ending with additional dialogue and cutscenes.

This achievement is unlocked upon interacting with a store. Stores are found across the Citadel, which can be visited between missions. You will have the option to visit someone at Huerta Memorial Hospital, and as you do so you will walk straight past a store terminal in the Patient Lounge area.
Master and Commander
Deliver most of the galaxy at war assets to the final conflict.
This achivement unlocks as you start the mission Priority: Cerberus Headquarters if you have an Effective Millitary Strength (EMS) rating of 4000 or higher (although if you have the Extended Cut DLC installed, is is changed to 3,100 Total Military Strength). Your TMS and EMS will depend on decisions you have made throughout the story, multiplayer and any additional War Assets you have discovered through planet scanning. A fuller guide is pending.
Lost and Found
Dispatch 10 probes to retrieve people or resources in Reaper territory.
When you enter a Reaper-controlled system, which is represented by a Reaper hovering over it on the galaxy map, you have the option to scan the system for War Assets. Pressing the scan button scans an area around the Normandy, and if you have found anything a red circle will pop up around the planet in question. To acquire the Asset, enter the orbit of the planet and use on-screen prompts to scan the planet's surface. Move the scanner in the direction indicated by the white line until you encounter a white dot, then use on-screen prompts to dispatch the probe. Do this ten times to unlock the achivement, but be warned: excessive scanning in a system will alert the Reapers to your presence (see also: Untouchable achivement).
Long Service Medal
Complete Mass Effect 3 twice, or once with a character imported from Mass Effect 2.
This achivement can either be earned by completing Mass Effect 3 twice (completing it once and then selecting the 'New Game+' option on the main menu) or by selecting the 'Import ME2 Character' option on the main menu and completing the game once. Note that this option will only be available if you have a Mass Effect 2 save file.
Finish the game on the Insanity difficulty setting without changing the setting after leaving Earth.
It is recommended you work on the Unwavering achivement at the same time as this one. For full details see an Insanity Walkthrough (pending).
A Personal Touch
Modify a weapon.
Every weapon in the game can be upgraded with up to two mods, which are themselves spread throughout the game's levels and the stores. To get this achivement, you must apply a mod to a weapon, which can be done via the squad menu before a mission starts - select the weapon you want to mod, press Square to go to the mod screen, select the mod you want to attach and press X to attach it to the weapon. While on a mission, you can only mod weapons at weapon benches, and the first weapon mods you find will be on the Priority: Mars mission.
Establish or rekindle a romantic relationship.
See the Mass Effect Romance Guide for details (pending).
Perform any combination of 50 Biotic Combos or Tech Bursts.
Evolve any of your powers to rank 6.
As you level up, you will unlock points to spend on levelling up your powers. Pause the game and access the Squad menu to assign points to your powers, and to unlock this achivement you will need to level any one of those powers to rank 6.
Kill 250 enemies. This is cumulative with the Soldier and Veteran achivements. Kills are tracked across all playthroughs and multiplayer.
Kill 1000 enemies.
Kill 5000 enemies.
These achievements are self-explanatory, and do not have to be completed in a single playthrough. The total number of kills is counted across all playthroughs and multiplayer.
Kill 100 enemies with melee attacks. Kills are tracked across all playthroughs and multiplayer.
Melee attacks can be executed using the Circle button, and a heavy melee by holding it. In order to count for this trophy, the killing blow must be delivered by a melee attack.
Escape a Reaper on the galaxy map.
This achievement can be earned by travelling to a Reaper-controlled star cluster on the galaxy map and scanning enough to alert the Reapers. When the Reapers enter the system, return to the Mass Relay as fast as possible and plot the relay jump. The Reapers can also be escaped by leaving the star system to travel to another in the same cluster, although the Reapers will still be in the system until you complete another mission.
Overload the shields of 100 enemies. Overloads are tracked across all playthroughs and multiplayer.
Use the Overload power to deplete the shields of 100 enemies. In order to count, the Overload must remove the enterity of the shield. Also, overloads used by squadmates do not count - the player must be the origin of the power. In singleplayer, Overload is a power available to the Engineer and Sentinel classes, and in multiplayer it is available to the Geth Engineer, Human Engineer, Turian Sentinel and Turian Ghost Infiltrator characters.
Lift 100 enemies off the ground with powers. Lifts are tracked across all playthroughs and multiplayer.
A 'lift' is an attack that lifts enemies into the air or throws them to the ground. Specific lift powers are available to the following classes: Soldier (Concussive Shot), Adept (Singularity, Pull, Throw), Sentinel (Throw, Lift Grenade) and Vanguard (Pull). Note that the squadmate powers will not count towards this achivement.
Set 100 enemies on fire with powers. Fires are tracked across all playthroughs and multiplayer.
The following player classes have abilities that can set enemies alight: Soldier (Incendiary Ammo), Engineer (Incinerate), Infiltrator (Incinerate) and Vanguard (Incendiary Ammo). Note that squadmate powers will not count towards this achivement.
Eye of the Hurricane
Kill a Brute when its charging you. This achievement can also be earned in multiplayer.
This achivement can be awkward, but if done correctly can be easy. To earn this achivement you must kill a Brute while it is performing its special Charge attack. The best way to do this is to get it down to half a quarter health then get far away from it, forcing it to perform its Charge attack. It will squat down right before it charges, which works as a signal to open fire. Note that if you don't move out of the way as you shoot, the Brute will hit you and interrupt your attack. If you are having trouble, try using the Adrenaline Rush power to slow down time. Brutes are encountered on most missions where the enemies are the Reapers, starting with Priority: Palaven.
Kill 10 guardians with headshots from the front when their sheilds are active. Mail Slots are tracked across all playthroughs and muliplayer.
Hijack an Atlas Mech. This achievement can also be earned in multiplayer.
Defeat a Harvester.
Harvesters can be found in the missions Priority': Thessia, Priority: Earth, Tuchanka: Turian Platoon and the DLC mission Namakli: Leviathan. This achivement cannot be missed, as the Harvesters must be killed in order to progress on the missions Priority: Earth, Tuchanka: Turian Platoon and Namakli: Leviathan.
All of these achievements have two conditions that will unlock them - one in multiplayer and one in singleplayer. Only one of these conditions needs to be filled to unlock the achievement.
Start a character in Multiplayer or customise a character in Single Player.
Tour of Duty
Finish all multiplayer maps or all N7 missions in Single Player.
Obtain two non-customisable suits of armour.
Complete one multiplayer match or 2 N7 missions in Singleplayer.
Complete three multiplayer matches or 5 N7 missions in Singleplayer.
Upgrade any weapon to level 10.
Reach Level 15 in multiplayer or Level 50 in Single player.
Reach Level 20 in multiplayer or Level 60 in Singleplayer.
Both levelling achivements are easier to earn in Multiplayer than in Singleplayer, since there are fewer levels in Multiplayer. In Multiplayer, you can get a character to level 20 in an evening or two, while in Singleplayer it should take at least 3 playthroughs (2 if you import a max-level character from Mass Effect 2).
Promote a multiplayer character to the Galaxy at War, or import a Mass Effect 3 character after a completed playthrough.
Finish all multiplayer maps on Gold, or all Singleplayer missions in Insanity.
Attain the highest state of readiness in each Theatre of War. (Unlike other multiplayer achievements, this has not singleplayer alternative).
